The INDUSTRY DAYS, MACH-TECH and AUTOMOTIVE HUNGARY exhibitions will open soon

INDUSTRY DAYS – MACH TECH – AUTOMOTIVE HUNGARY – Industry players are together again

The INDUSTRY DAYS International Industrial Trade Exhibition and the MACH-TECH International Trade Exhibition for Machine Manufacturing and Welding Technology will be held from 18 to 21 May at the HUNGEXPO Budapest Congress and Exhibition Centre. This event is one of the region’s most important business events and will once again welcome professionals together with its sister event, the AUTOMOTIVE HUNGARY International Trade Exhibition for Automotive Industry Suppliers.

More than 350 exhibitors from 22 countries will showcase their products and services at this year’s INDUSTRY DAYS, MACH TECH and AUTOMOTIVE HUNGARY exhibitions, which focus on topics such as Industry 4.0, automation, robotics, industrial digitalisation, innovative manufacturing technologies, welding technology, surface treatment, logistics and occupational safety. The event also provides an opportunity for Hungarian and international industrial companies to showcase their latest developments and cost- and energy-efficient solutions, build relationships and establish new business partnerships.

The mini-factory in action

One of the key features of the event will once again be the Application Zone integrated by HUNIFY Laboratories Kft. – a ‘mini factory’, an automated production line combining the technologies of several companies. This way, visitors can observe the products of various companies in operation within a clearly structured exhibition area. They can familiarise themselves with the individual stages of the manufacturing process and make more informed investment decisions. The AppZone will feature a wide range of specialist fields, including metalworking, automation, data visualisation, measurement technology, robotics, marking technology and packaging technology.

The industry will meet

INDUSTRY DAYS and MACH TECH 2026 will once again host a number of professional forums and professional training sessions. Key topics include labour safety, digitalisation and energy issues. As part of the extensive professional programme, industry professionals can attend the SAFETY NET BUDAPEST Conference and DigiLean presentations, among other events.

Visitors to the stage in Pavilion A can enjoy exciting presentations throughout all four days of the exhibition on topics such as industrial cooperation, robotics and the energy solutions of the future.

This is where X-GAIN will make its debut – an industrial cluster optimised for the X. district, bringing together companies with more than a century of industrial heritage in Budapest’s District X and representatives of global technological innovation. Together with the Municipality of Kőbánya, these companies will demonstrate “how experience and openness become a competitive advantage in the world of cutting-edge technologies.”

The presentation entitled Human-Robot Cooperation: Dream or Reality? promises to be a special highlight of the exhibition and will be presented twice on stage during the event. Researchers from ELTE’s Department of Ethology and specialists from Infuze Technologies Ltd will demonstrate humanoid and four-legged robots in operation.

The exhibition will also host a conference organised by the Budapest and Pest County Chamber of Engineers entitled E-mobility from a Different Perspective, which will also serve as a professional training event in the fields of mechanical engineering, transport, electrical engineering and energy.

INDUSTRY DAYS, MACH-TECH GRAND PRIZE

In keeping with tradition, the organiser Hungexpo will once again present the GRAND PRIZE in 2026 to the innovations considered the best and most outstanding by the professional jury, which visitors will also be able to view at the exhibition.

Any state-of-the-art product, process or technical service marketed in Hungary and fitting the exhibition profile was eligible to enter the competition.

The winners of the 2026 Grand Prix:

  • The NOVUM CNC machine tool simulator product range developed by Novum Informatikai Kft., which significantly reduces the likelihood of subsequent rejects through pre-production simulation.
  • The transparent heated film developed by Phoenix Mecano Kecskemét Kft. featuring Metal Mesh technology, which ensures even heat distribution with minimal energy consumption thanks to its fine microstructured metal mesh.
  • UE Systems Inc.’s fully integrated wireless ultrasonic solution, OnTrak Wireless, combines real-time condition monitoring with condition-based lubrication. Using smart sensors and cloud-based analytics, it detects faults at an early stage, optimises lubrication processes, and enables maintenance teams to make faster, data-driven decisions about equipment condition from anywhere, whilst reducing downtime.
  • Smartus Zrt.’s patented Duraxim process takes steel girder design to a new level by transforming the web plates of standard beams using a loss-free cutting pattern, thereby enabling the creation of high-rigidity girders with a cellular internal structure and variable cross-sections.
  • The SolveAir air disinfection device range of SolvElectric Technologies Kft. – SolveAir UNI and SolveAir MAX – provides effective protection against viruses and bacteria, as well as against pollen and mould spores.
  • Werth Magyarország Kft.’s new HandySCAN 3D | EVO features an integrated 4.3-inch touchscreen and graphical user interface (GUI), enabling users to set and manage point cloud parameters directly on the device and display captured point clouds in real time, thereby minimising the need to return to a computer.

Winners of the 2026 Special Award:

  • HEITEC Hungary Kft.
  • Oxyma Systems Kft.

Winners of Certificates of Appreciation:

  • HIWIN GmbH
  • KL-SYSTEM Kft.
  • TRUMPF Hungary Kft.

Novelties at the exhibition

The importance of INDUSTRY DAYS is demonstrated by the fact that several exhibitors are presenting their latest developments here for the first time. Innovations from various sectors clearly illustrate the current development trends in industry: digitalisation, data-driven operations and the increasingly important role of energy efficiency. At the centre of these developments are intelligent monitoring systems capable of optimising processes and reducing downtime, such as Novum’s CNC tool simulator and UE Systems Inc.’s OnTrak Wireless system. Sustainability and environmentally friendly operation also constitute key priorities. The solutions share common features such as modularity and ease of integration. Here are some of the debuting solutions:

  • GEFASOFT AUTOMATION SYSTEMS HUNGARY Kft. is bringing automated laser systems to the exhibition. They support the processing of various materials, ranging from laser welding of metals and plastics to laser marking, labelling and surface treatment solutions.
  • NESLER Kft. will be showcasing the Riken Keiki GX-3R, the world’s smallest and lightest four-gas personal gas detector, offering uncompromising safety in industrial environments.
  • Accessium Ltd.’s eVgate access control system offers fast and flexible installation as well as cloud-based standalone operation, and functions even under harsh conditions, for example at sites where no mains power supply is available.

14. AUTOMOTIVE HUNGARY

Buyers, suppliers and manufacturers from the automotive industry participate in the co-event of INDUSTRY DAYS. Exhibitors showcase a wide range of automotive components, from drive systems and braking equipment to the smallest components.

This trade exhibition, which plays an important role both in Hungary and across the region, offers industry and automotive sector participants a unique opportunity to meet and establish new business relationships. The B2B Supplier Forum, organised by the Hungarian Investment Promotion Agency (HIPA) and the Hungarian Automotive Industry Association (MAGE), primarily targets these partners; the participants may even conclude business deals at this event.

AUTOMOTIVE HUNGARY is the venue for Techtogether, the traditional annual competition for engineering students, which has attracted entries from almost every higher education institution in Hungary offering engineering programmes.

Hungexpo will host the Transport Research Arena (TRA), Europe’s leading transport research and innovation conference focusing on green mobility and the digitalisation of transport, initiated by the European Commission and leading professional organisations. The TRA is the largest European event in this field, covering all modes of transport and aspects of mobility.
