ITU Telecom World 2019 at HUNGEXPO
Budapest will host the annual International Telecommunication Union, ITU conference for the second time in four years. Due to the success of the same event organized in 2015, ITU Telecom World 2019 will be held at HUNGEXPO Budapest Congress and Exhibition Centre between 9-12 September.
The event will be accommodated in three event halls: the exhibition takes place on 13 thousands square meters in hall G and F, with exhibitors from 32 countries. The forum will be set up in Hall A in 7 conference rooms. Furthermore, a significant part of the area is separated for meetings spaces, used for negotiations and business meetings. The International Media Centre will be accommodated there as well for over 200 press delegates.
ITU is the most significant global institution responsible for the info-communicational field of the United Nations, whose main task is to establish international professional cooperations. The organization, which currently has 193 member states, has 800 sectoral and associate members. Since 2018 Hungary has been a member of its 48-member decision-making body. Additionally, ITU is also dedicated to develop info-communicational infrastructure in developing countries.
ITU Telecom World 2019 is expected to bring together information and communication technology developers, politicians, industry leader, innovative emerging start-ups and domestic and international press from 130 countries worldwide. With that ITU is providing an excellent platform for the industry and the government to establish and strengthen relationships. The conference will focus on innovation and connectivity, presenting the latest trends and developments, including the future of the Internet, IT security, robotics, Artificial Intelligence (AI), space telecommunication, smart cities and 5G developments. Hungarian small and medium-sized enterprises and universities will be given a unique networking opportunity to meet directly with the international leaders of the industry during the 4-day event.
