INDUSTRY DAYS AND AUTOMOTIVE HUNGARY opens next week
INDUSTRY DAYS AND AUTOMOTIVE HUNGARY – EVERYONE IN ONE PLACE
This year, the most important industrial exhibition of Hungary and the region will be held at the HUNGEXPO Budapest Congress and Exhibition Centre on 13-16 May. The INDUSTRY DAYS international industrial trade exhibition and its co-event, AUTOMOTIVE HUNGARY, the international trade exhibition for automotive industry suppliers, once again provide a unique forum for business decision-makers to meet, build relationships, do business, and find joint solutions to the most pressing problems affecting the sector.
More than 300 companies from 15 countries will be exhibiting at the INDUSTRY DAYS and AUTOMOTIVE HUNGARY. In recent years, the event has become unmissable for the region’s industry. It is a place where industry players, small, medium-sized and large companies, manufacturers, service providers, traders and visitors can meet in one place at one time to develop solutions to the challenges facing their industry. These include, for example, how to make production more cost-effective, energy-efficient, faster and more sustainable.
Trade programmes
In addition to what is showcased by the exhibitors, a number of professional trade programmes and workshops await visitors this year. The Hungarian Economic Development Agency is preparing business development seminars and various case studies, as well as a presentation of the Demján Sándor Programme, aimed at developing SMEs and stimulate investments. There will be an engineering chamber conference, a work safety conference, a series of lectures on welding technology, roundtable discussions and lectures on lean topics, a presentation of working solutions from companies working with chemicals, as well as German, Chinese and Italian business offers, business meetings and networking. One of the most spectacular programmes this time is the INDUSTRY DAYS Application Zone integrated by Hunify Laboratories. In cooperation with eight companies and a system integrator, the organisers will ‘build’ a complete mini-factory where different technologies are connected so that professionals can learn about the sub-processes of manufacturing and see the products and services of the companies in the factory in a real environment.
The central theme of the exhibition will be the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in industrial production. In addition to solutions related to AI and robotics, professional discussions on measurement technology, 3D printing and the industrial application of drones are also expected to attract great interest.
The full trade programme of the exhibition can be viewed here.
AUTOMOTIVE HUNGARY
The AUTOMOTIVE HUNGARY automotive industry expo, a co-event of INDUSTRY DAYS, will be attended by buyers, suppliers and manufacturers.
Automotive Hungary will once again host the B2B Supplier Forum, which offers unique business opportunities for suppliers and buyers. The aim of this private forum is to introduce buyers to supplier companies that have already passed a preliminary quality screening but are not yet known to buyers. The supplier forum is an excellent opportunity for personal negotiations and possible future business deals. (In 2024, 79 suppliers started more than 328 negotiations with buyers from 19 large multinational automotive companies.)
One of the most exciting elements of the exhibition continues to be TECHTOGETHER also this year. At the 12th engineering competition, teams from nine Hungarian higher education institutions will compete against each other. The competition provides an opportunity for teams of vehicle engineering students to find new sponsors for their developments, while companies looking for new employees can search for talented young people.
Keeping the tradition, the INDUSTRY DAYS GRAND PRIZES will be awarded at the opening of the exhibition in 2025 to the most outstanding innovations selected by a professional jury. Any modern product, process or technical service available on the domestic market that fits the theme of the exhibition is eligible to enter the competition. The award-winning entries will be displayed at a special stand at the exhibition.
