Travel discount

MÁV-START Zrt. and GYSEV Zrt. offer 50% discount of full-fare tickets for the CONSTRUMA (6-10 April) to Budapest-Keleti, Budapest-Nyugati, Budapest-Déli, Zugló, Kőbánya-Kispest, Kőbánya alsó, Kőbánya felső and Kelenföld stations. To benefit of the discount, passengers have to buy the 50% off occasional return ticket to Budapest and have the ticket validated by stamping at the MÁV-START cash desk on the venue. The stamped ticket will be valid for the return journey.

Occasional return tickets cannot be purchased from ticket machines nor electronically (e-ticket, home printed ticket, MÁV application).

Terms of use

The discount can only be used for 2nd class domestic trip. If the passenger wishes to travel on 1st class full-price supplementary ticket needs to be purchased.

The validity period of the reduced fare ticket is the same as the full-fare ticket for the same distance, with the restriction that the journey may not start before 0:00 on 5 April 2022 and must be finished by 23:59 on 11 April 2022.

InterCity trains (seat reservation compulsory) can be used with supplementary ticket only.

The occasional return ticket can be validated during the opening hours of the event at MÁV-START stand in the Entrance Hall III.

Please note that the return ticket cannot be used without validation.

Ticket verification

If the passenger fails to validate the discounted return ticket, the conductor on the train will charge the passenger with the price of a full fare ticket and also the surcharge provided in Chapter C of Volume I of the Railway Tariffs of Charges.
