Since 2021, Hungexpo has been preparing meals in its own on-site kitchen<\/strong>, equipped with state-of-the-art technology. This energy-efficient operation and optimized logistics<\/strong> significantly reduce the carbon footprint of our entire catering service.<\/p>\n\n\n\nAt Hungexpo, we place great emphasis on continuously reducing our environmental impact while adhering to sustainability principles, particularly in efforts to prevent food waste. In collaboration with our subcontractors, we optimize portion sizes and ensure that surplus food from our events is not discarded but distributed to families and individuals in need through charitable organizations. These donations are received with deep appreciation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2024, we also launched the first ready meal rescue pilot programme together with the Hungarian Charity Service of the Order of Malta, which has so far provided hot meals to more than 1,700 people in need. The programme has delivered the leftover food in the form of varied and nutritious menus to institutions serving the homeless, people with disabilities and families in difficult circumstances.

Sustainable Film Production<\/h3>\n\n\n\n Hungexpo provides versatile, technologically advanced venues and reliable logistical support for the film industry, facilitating productions that adhere to sustainability principles. Our locations are designed to meet the requirements of sustainable filmmaking, offering an optimal environment for productions aligned with ESG principles.
During film productions, we use mobile paint-washing station built on IBC containers to ensure the environmentally friendly cleaning of tools and equipment. These closed-system solutions allow for the safe collection and disposal of contaminated water, preventing harmful substances from entering the natural environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
