Coming  from 15 countries, the 200 exhibitors and the many professional  programmes attracted over 10000 visitors to HUNGEXPO Budapest Conference  and Exhibition Center. <\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The Hungarian automotive industry has doubled its output in the past \nnine years while the number of employees increased by 34% in the sector,\n said <strong>Dr. L\u00e1szl\u00f3 Gy\u00f6rgy<\/strong>, State Secretary for Economic \nStrategy and Regulation of the Ministry for Innovation and Technology \n(ITM). He added that Hungary\u2019s automotive industry had grown by nearly \n12 per cent over the first eight months of 2019 despite the shrinking \nproduction in Germany.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Addressing the participants of the opening ceremony, Hungexpo\u2019s Chief Executive Officer <strong>G\u00e1bor<\/strong> <strong>Ganczer <\/strong>noted that AUTOMOTIVE HUNGARY was able to renew regularly and kept growing along with the sector\u2019s development year by year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year\u2019s event featured the products and innovations of 200  exhibitors from 15 countries. Beside the four car and engine  manufacturers in Hungary, i.e., Audi, Mercedes, Opel and Suzuki, the  exhibition was attended by the largest suppliers, service providers,  state organizations and trade associations as well. AUTOMOTIVE HUNGARY &#8211;  and the concurrently held Aut\u00f3technika-Autodiga professional exhibition  &#8211; was the only event in the region to present the entire spectrum of  automobile production from design to manufacturing and servicing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The related professional programmes and further training courses  enjoyed an enormous interest from the participants. Portfolio and MAGE\u2019s  Industry 4.0 conference featured such topics as digitalization, the  design and implementation of development projects as well as the smart  factory.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Organized by the Ministry for Innovation and Technology, the \n\u201cAutomotive industry on the road of innovation\u201d conference focused on \nthe integration of Industry 4.0 solutions, the utilization of synergies,\n the cooperation between universities and industry players, knowledge \ntransfers and market operation. The event was attended by executives in \ncharge of education from six universities, who discussed the relations \nbetween the industry and education. As Dr. Barna Hanula, the dean of the\n Audi Hungaria Vehicle Engineering Faculty at Gy\u0151r\u2019s Istv\u00e1n Sz\u00e9chenyi \nUniversity put it, we need to reconsider the objectives of Hungary\u2019s \nhigher education. \u201cOur relations with Audi Hungaria has clearly shown \nthat developing students\u2019 mindset and cognitive skills is the truly \nimportant thing, rather than specific knowledge,\u201d the expert \nemphasized.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Senior research fellow of BMGE\u2019s Faculty of Transportation \nEngineering and Vehicle Engineering (KJK) Dr. M\u00e1t\u00e9 Z\u00f6ldy underlined the \nimportance of education institutions having \u201cconstant value-seeking \nrelations\u201d with the industry. \u201cWe have started the process of \nuniversities bringing back colleagues from the industry, which helps us \nto achieve a common thinking with the corporate sector,\u201d he said.&nbsp; The \nconference organized by Pannon Business Network &#8211; am-LAB Digital \nInnovation Hub primarily focused on digitalization, the connection \nbetween artificial intelligence and the automotive industry, the \nsituation in Germany\u2019s automotive industry, the mindset of the large car\n manufacturers and robot-assisted manufacturing processes.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For many years, one of AUTOMOTIVE HUNGARY\u2019s most popular events has \nalways been the MAGE \u2013 HIPA B2B supplier forum, which offers unique \nbusiness opportunities for suppliers and buyers alike. The B2B forum \nallows buyers to assess the Hungarian supplier companies, meet them \npersonally and potentially make deals later. For the first time this \nyear, the buyers of international and Hungarian automotive manufacturers\n and key system integrators had 274 successful business negotiations \nwith the representatives of over 60 potential suppliers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Held for the first time in Hungary, the Volvo Supplier Forum was a  special occasion where Hungarian suppliers got an insight into the  procurement and cooperation policies of a leading international  automotive corporation. The ideas were presented by the representatives  of Volvo\u2019s bus, truck and machine manufacturing branches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As part of the exhibition, the traditional <strong>Techtogether<\/strong>  competition for engineering students was organized with sixteen college  teams. This year\u2019s winner was Arrabona Racing Team \u2013 Istv\u00e1n Sz\u00e9chenyi.&nbsp;  The competition was complemented by a roundtable discussion on labour  affairs where the participating students could ask questions from the HR  associates of the largest automotive corporations and their suppliers,  such as Mercedes Benz Manufacturing Hungary Ltd and Thyssenkrupp  Components Technology Hungary.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hungexpo announced the AUTOMOTIVE HUNGARY Innovation Product Award  competition for the second time this year. Having received several  high-quality applications, the professional jury, which consisted of  MAGE\u2019s secretary general Csaba Kili\u00e1n, autopro.hu\u2019s managing director  Istv\u00e1n Szammer and GTE\u2019s president dr. J\u00e1nos Tak\u00e1cs, presented three  Prizes and two Special Awards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Prize for Innovation&nbsp; <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>TRUMPF Hungary Ltd for its TrueLaser Station 5005 TrueDisk Pulse 421 green laser machining cell<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Varinex IT Inc. for its AUTODESK Fusion 360 new generation product design platform;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ABSOLUT CNC Ltd for the Hanwha Precision Machinery collaborative robot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Special Award<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>HIGH QUALITY SUPPORT AND CONSULT LTD for its Company Operations System;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>PROPRERUS Ltd for the Oilex oil extraction material.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As usual, the event enjoyed a wide-ranging professional and state \nsupport, which allowed the organizers to implement the high-quality \nprofessional programmes.
