More than ten thousand professionals visited INDUSTRY DAYS exhibition between 24-27. May at HUNGEXPO Budapest Fair Center. In this year the number of exhibitors has risen with 10% and the size of the territory with 5% compared to the previous exhibition.
INDUSTRY DAYS is the most comprehensive industrial exhibition which presented us the newest trends, innovations and the results of almost every sector. The most prestigous companies from the field of electronics, automation, robotics, machine manufacturing, subcontraction and logistics were represented. A so-called collective presentations were held by the German-Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Hungarian Material testers’ Association, the Federation of Hungarian Electric Contractors, the Association of Hungarian Automotive Component Manufacturers and the Chamber of Commerce of Pest County and the City of Érd.
Gábor Ganczer, the CEO of HUNGEXPO C. Co. Ltd at the opening ceremony on Tuesday was glad to highlight the fact that the biggest industrial exhibition in Hungary could give the opportunity to 12 countries’ 280 exhibitors to show their machines, technices, tecgnologies and novelties.
István Lepsényi, the Ministry for National Economy’s Minister of State for Economic Development and Regulation also said that: It is glad to see that in Hungary there are more and more companies who are concerned with innovation, research and development beside manufacturing. The Minister of State presented the country’s industrial program the Irinyi-plan and as part of it the Industry 4.0 program which is based on the rising number of manufacturer, the innovation based economy, the knowledge and the new technologies. The aim of the Irinyi-plan is to create the motive power of the long-term growth of the Hungarian economy. With the Irinyi-plan they want to rise industry’s contribution to the gdp from 24% to 30% until 2020.
As the first steps of the plans in some cases more than EUR 100 thousand agreements were signed during the 4 day exhibition.
Considering the composition of the INDUSTRY DAYS’ exhibitors robotics has significantly strenghtened its position as not only the leading robot manufacturers appeared to show their newest world-class developments, but for the first time in the history of the exhibition there was a Kawasaki robot exhibited as well.
But not only robotics dominated the pavilion, this year industrial logistics (LOGEXPO) has also strengthened both in the number of exhibitors and in the number of visitors.
Visitors could share and exchange experiences at highly professional programs and conferences. Altogether 18 conferences and presentation were held in contribution with 17 professional organizations. We can say that nearly 1,500 visitors took part in them. Among these there were outstanding ones such as The Fraunhofer– SZTAKI project lecture series and workshop based on INDUSTRY 4.0 topic, and the B2B (Supplier - Purchaser) meeting organised by MAJOSZ- Hungarian Vehicle Component Manufacturers Association and the German-Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, where more than 113 companies’ 150 representatives made deals with each others.
The Training organised by the Budapest and Pest County Chamber of Engineers about Electrotechnical and Building Electrical vocational was a big success as well, where more than 180 professionals took place.
The INDUSTRY DAYS GRAND PRIX and other awards were handed over at the opening ceremony. Dr. János Takács, the president of the Scientific Society of Mechanical Engineers (GTE) and of the jury, said: those companies have submitted tenders for the award, who have some new features, product, service, process, technology, innovation or content they can offer in their own professions.
