AUTOMOTIVE HUNGARY – 6th International Trade Exhibition for Automotive Industry Suppliers and AUTÓTECHNIKA-AUTODIGA – 27th International Vehicle Maintenance Industry Trade Exhibition between 17-19 October 2018 at HUNGEXPO Budapest Fair Centre

This year remains memorable for the participants of the Hungarian automotive sector for many reasons. After six years of operation, the 1-millionth vehicle has rolled off the assembly line of the Kecskemét car manufacturing plant while the Hungarian automotive industry will become more diversified due to the agreement to build the assembly line of another German automotive giant in the city of Debrecen. The latter will give an enormous boost not only to the specific industry but also to Hungary’s economy, where the automotive sector has already been a key segment. Moreover, the fact that Hungary will now host the manufacturing capacities of four great German brands means an even more significant knowledge transfer to our country.

Year by year, there is an increasing interest for professional events focusing on the automotive industry. The largest of them is the AUTOMOTIVE HUNGARY and AUTÓTECHNIKA-AUTODIGA exhibition bunch, which is the only Central Eastern European event showcasing the entire spectrum of vehicle production from design through manufacturing to the garage service industry. The exhibition bunch will feature 254 exhibitors of 15 countries on a gross area of 20 000 square meters. In addition to Hungary’s 4 automotive factories, the exhibition will be attended by many other companies that are major players in their own respective areas such as TIER1, TIER2 and TIER3 subcontractors, suppliers related to the industry, state organizations and professional associations. We expect over 10 000 professionals to come to the event this year as well.

The exhibition and the related conferences will focus on artificial intelligence, 3D printing, electric drives and Industry 4.0 and, even though automotive production is an increasingly mechanized process, human labour still remains one of the greatest values. So the matter of vocational education will be just as key in this exhibition as it was in the previous years. The highlights of the professional meetings include such conferences as “Innovation the driving force of the automotive industry” organized by the Ministry of Innovation and Technology; “Industry 4.0”, organized by the Association of the Hungarian Automotive Industry (MAGE) and Portfolio as well as the 4th conference in the title of “E-mobility in a different way” organized by the Budapest and Pest County Engineering Chamber. The MAGE MAJOSZ HIPA B2B Supplier Forum and the TechTogether contest for engineering students will be held this year as well.
